You might try a "Repair" of the HP SimplePass software.

Repair the SimplePass Software:

Windows 8

Windows key + X> F (Opens Programs and Features)

Windows 7

Control Panel> Programs and Features>

Next…

Scroll down and Look for HP SimplePass

Right-Click on HP SimplePass
Select "Repair"

  • Restart / Reboot the computer

Check...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Export your Favorites from Internet Explorer

Add to, view, organize, and Import/Export favorites – Internet Explorer 10

============================================================================================

You might want to consider switching off the IE Accelerated Graphics:

Open IE > Tools > Options > Advanced > Accelerated graphics > CHECK "Use software rendering...."
Click OK

Restart / Reboot the computer and log in.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You might want to DISABLE any IE "Do Not Track Me" add-ons.

HP SimplePass requires full access to your web login environment.  Anything that interferes with that action might disrupt the software's ability to do its job.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Make sure your Adobe Flash is up-to-date.  IE10 does not have a separate add-on for this, but you do need to have the latest Flash environment for many software tools to function.

===========================================================================================

Reset Internet Explorer

You might try setting IE back to defaults -- be aware that this wipes out your Favorites and settings, so be sure you Export your Favorites before you perform the reset.

This first option will RESET your Internet Explorer back to Factory setup -  you will lose all your custom settings:

Open IE> Tools> Internet Options> Advanced> Reset Internet Explorer settings> OK

Restart / Reboot the computer and log in.

Check.

Import your Favorites

CHECK.

Set up your Add-ons.

You might try using Firefox:  HP SimplePass and Firefox do play well together.  If you opt to use later than Firefox V16.x, do turn off the Hardware acceleration.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This method is a roundabout method to kick IE10 back into working order - it involves a slight downgrade in HP SimplePass version.   This software is almost identical to the HP SimplePass 6.0.100.252 and it is only rev down from the latest HP SimplePass V6.0.100.272 **

  • Be sure you Export your Webcards PRIOR to making any changes to HP SimplePass.

Downgrade HP SimplePass to AuthenTec version V6.0.100.252:

HP SimplePass for Windows 8 / Windows 7

Restart / Reboot the computer and log in.

Check...

If it works, you can try overloading the latest HP SimplePass version over the top of the AuthenTec version.  That means, install the AuthenTec version, reboot, check - works?  Next download and install the latest HP SimplePass version over the top of the AuthenTec version without removing anything.
