I have an HP ENVY TS 15 Notebook PC running Windows 8.1 and the fan seems to be working awfully hard. The PC is not overheating and all processes are working fast and well, but the fan is constantly on and does not slow down. I've had the laptop for about 4 months and I keep it on a flat, solid surface, so I don't think it has any dust buildup and nothing is hindering the vents. The problem has arose ever since the most recent BIOS update a few days ago and is draining my battery. In addition, I do not have anything running on the computer, so there should be no reason it is working so hard.
Has anyone else had this issue? What would be some suggestions to remedy it?
