I just had a look and this seems to be something happened before. My machine is a HP Pavilion Dv6, everything was working fine until...this afternoon when my wife accidentally dropped some water on the keyboard...heheh long story short, now the mute key F11 and the wireless key F12 always have the red light on.
The keys are actually working, so sound is muted and wifi is toggled on/off correctly just that the light is always red. I can see when i click mute via software that the red light sort of dims down a bit, as if she "wants" to become white but cannot make it.
It was just a little water spilled on those 2, keyboard is dry, i have unmounted the keyboard as well, dried everything.. same story, i did a few hard resets too and installed BIOS just in case... nothing.
Is no big deal, but do you guys think is the "white" led inside the keyboard gone bananas and that's it? Finally when you boot the PC , for a split second there's no lights, then it SEEMS the white wil come up but then the red comes again! ;-)
Do u guys think reinstalling the driver will change? There's no yellow sign whatsoever under hardware, etc. os is win 7 ultimate 64x..
