Hi,

Try the following.

Shutdown the notebook, unplug the AC Adapter and remove the battery,

Hold down the power button for 10 seconds.

Now follow the procedure starting on Page 52 of your Maintenance & Service Guide to remove and re-seat the Hard Drive ( also re-seat the drive connector to the System Board ).

When done, replace the covers etc, re-insert the battery and plug in the AC Adapter.

Try the Recovery process again.
