(regards to the quote)

You realize they did not "correct" the issue. What they did essentially is put a bandage over a bullet wound. In time, the same issue will happen again because its a design flaw. If this is the only 'solution' they are providing, I'd rather just never again consider ANY HP product and consider it a loss.

(Offtopic)

JeffHelp reached out to us for our laptop. Seemed promising, until we tried to return a call to the HP support number.

Not exaggerating, we have been on hold for 1 hour and 11 minutes...and still counting. This is how you treat customers when you design a flawed product....

I ensure you that anyone willing to listen will know about this HORRID experience. I will make sure everyone I know personally and professionally will avoid HP like the plague.

1 hour and 14 minutes.........

i probably should have posted this when it happened but these recent posts inspired me to do so now.

After posting my long rant back in June/2013, "JeffHelp" reached out to me as well and asked to send my info over to Help@HP.com. I did so and within 24 hours i had an actual case open with HP. They overnighted me an empty box which i placed the broken laptop in and mailed it back (postage paid by HP). Within about a week they fixed both the hinge and the heat sync and mailed the system back to me. Not a dime was charged to me.

Its been 6-months now and the laptop still works like a champ! This service experience was excellent. From the moment JeffHelp messaged me to the moment i got my laptop back, everyone i spoke to was understanding and worked hard to get me quality service.
