I am really sorry for you guys, that you have to experience this unprofessionality, which comes from HP customer service.
I am really concerned what to do in a case that I have to deal with.
My father's HP laptop died recently. The warranty is still half way good. I am waiting for a box, (that they told me I will receive in two days, in order to pack the laptop and send it back to the HP tech) already 7 days. I opened two caseses, no one knows what's going on, when I chat with customer service they telling me different kind of bs, that my box will arrive the next day and sorry for any inconvinience... Sorry but I have talked too many times with different kind of customer service already, to notice when such apologies don't mean anything.
Now, if I eventually get the box, should I send it to them my fathers laptop? After all I have read here I am really afraid to do so. If they can't deliver a stupid box in a two days, the repair itself won't take as they say 6-8 business days, but it may take a month or so...
What i noticed, HP customer service is outsourced (i had a "pleasure" to talk with one person, when I kindly thanked him for waiting 5 min for each response to a very simple question of mine, after me ending up with chat, I received a call from them right away, the HP reps with very broken English language was trying to calm me down, and was explaining the whole case again) , these are people most likely from India, chatting with us, most likely laughing at us as much as possible, and finally they don't give a da.m sh.t about our broken machines.
I personally stay away from HP, and chose Apple long time ago, but my parents, I don't think they can switch to Apple with their old age, learning the system from the beginning, therefore I need to take care of the whole mess myself. I wasn't even aware how bad HP customer service is, how unprofessional people works there, I know engineers working at HP, smart people, great personalities, but all that is ruin when they have such a customer service.. HP do something about it!
