I faced the same problem. Had purchased the stuff from US but dint know of warranty status till i was back in India. But in my case, i had purchased the laptop from Amazon and had my invoice with me.
In your case, you will have to prove like me that the laptop has actually been purchased now. If you have any documentary evidence, they will revalidate your warranty.
The guys are actually very helpful and after i proved my purchase, they not only revalidated my warranty but also repaid me the money that i had spent on a new adapter till warranty was revalidated.
