I would suggest starting off with the following document 'What to do if you forget your Windows password'. From the drop down on the right side, please select your operating system, and follow through the steps.

Now if the above document fails to resolve the issue, the next step usually is to complete a full factory restore on the computer. If you do not want to do a complete factory restore, the other option would be to contact technical support at 800-474-6836. If you live outside the US/Canada Region, please click the link below to get the support number for your region http://www.hp.com/cgi-bin/hpsupport/index.pl. As they may have more options available.
