I saw your post about the CTRL +Right Arrow as a shutdown shortcut. I have never heard of that either. If she is using Windows 7 maybe she hit the Windows Key instead of CTRL because if you hit Windows Key and then Right Arrow would have Sleep highlight and the Enter key could put the notebook to sleep. That is the only thing that I can think of.
