Hello and thanks,
but I had already done all the things you suggested and your advice was right on point, but the laptop is a 2005 model and in it's release cost a fortune, I guess we got our money wrth though I could have bought 4 destops for the price of the HP Pavillion dv9005, just wish I could get it to start, with its age it is not worth the repair cost.
But I do so appreciate your response...Many viewied my post but you were the only one to reply, sad for HP forums. I went else where for advice, and got many instant replies.... If the laptop was still under warranty it would not have been an issue. I do know that that model had a recal on it the HP never made the owners of the model aware of the recall...What a shame so disappointed in HP. I bought a Lenovo y580 a year ago and I doubt I will ever have issues with support.
Sorry to complain, but again ty
