After restoring my Laptop (Pavilion dv6-6121tx) a few days ago, i decided to get latest drivers.
I order to do so, i upgraded HP Simple Pass to version 6.0 (this version wasn't listed in Drivers for my laptop, i found it on AuthenTec website).
Surprisingly it didnt detect my Finger print reader.
then i decided to uninstall it and install version 5.3(this version is listed in Drivers for my laptop on HP website)
and again it didn't recognise my device.
then i uninstall that version and got back to old version 4.3 and still the problem wasn't solved.
Lastly i Uninstalled HP Simple Pass and Validity Sensor Driver. and reinstalled them using Recovery Manager's Feature "Drivers and Application Reinstall"
It still didn't work!!
Every time i uninstalled a version, i deleted my identity with it.
and my finger print reader doesnt even show up in device manager. However there is an Unknown device listed, but am not sure if its my finger print reader.
Ask for any other information you need..
am even ready for remote assistance.
any help would be greatly appreciated...
