Generally, you can only access/change easy to reach components such as Ram and the HDD without affecting your warranty.
I don't work for HP, but to reach the fan assembly in your notebook you would have to remove the System Board and I would be certain that this degree of disassembly would void your warranty.
Have you tried using a can of compressed air to clear the ventillation slots?
