Replacing DV6 Pavillion CD-DVD-Blu Ray Player

I own an HP DV6 Notebook, running Windows 7-64 bit.  Recently my CD-DVD-Blu Ray Player stopped working.  I need to replace it.  Since my notebook is 2 years old, will I be able to replace it with the same CD-DVD-Blu Ray Player?  The one that originally came with it is an HP DVDWBD-TS-LB23L.  If I cannot replace with the original one, what one needs to be installed in my notebook and not cause any problems?
