I have a HP Pavilion dv6t-6c00 CTO Quad Edition Entertainment a1u59av.
I have 8GB of memory installed.
I am running Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) SP 1 Build 7601.
BIOS Version/Date HP F.1A, 2012-06-22
I am trying to install BIOS update sp60655.exe. This will (it says) install BIOS Version:F.1C, 2013-01-29.
When I run the program, it reboots, and then hangs interminably. The only way to get it moving again is to press and hold the power button. Then, when it reboots, it still has the old BIOS.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
