Hello,

Thank you for posting in HP Support forum and thank you for your trust in HP !

To be honest, my personal experience says "No-go" for AMD/ATI stuff. I have always had nothing but problems with AMD processors and ATI video cards (now AMD only) and I have learned myself to prefer Intel in everything. AMD is kind of low class, I believe, unlikely to Intel. AMD I connect to slow and heating and low class buggy software/drivers. Personally, I'd never pick up AMD. But that is my personal choice.

It all depends on what you plan to use the computer for.

If gaming is must and if we have only these two to consider, the Pavillion 17.3 is better choice as it has bigger screen/display, video card. The ENVY machine I fancy more (I like these because of design) but this one has smaller screen/display and the video card is part of the motherboard which is not prefered for games (it all depends on the game, though, Intel 4000 is excellent for Angry Birds). Note that the ENVY link you show is for refurbished machine (not new one).

Please, let me know if I can help you further and don't hesitate to ask for assistance if you face issues.
