I am having the same issue with my HP envy 6 laptop...... I bought this laptop in India but am currently studying in Switzerland....
The hinge broke a few weeks ago and ever since i have tried to contact the HP centre in Geneva... but they do not seem to be of any assitance. (I have passed the warranty date.)
Being a student, having my laptop in proper shape is a must!
I would truly appreciate if someone could help me with this matter.
