I have the same issue. After I updated the BIOS yesterday my ZBook G5 could no longer connect with the dock. It seems like the problem is with the Thunderbolt port which no longer seems to recognise any devices plugged into it.

Can't change region/language of register.hp.com page

I can't change the region/language of my register.hp.com profile to Italian, it is stuck to Russian and the field is greyed out, so i can't interact with it.

Already talked to myhpsupport.emea@hp.com and nothing got fixed because register.hp.com is not managed by them, and they cannot forward my request to the correct department or tell me with who i can speak with about this issue.

Already changed the language/region of support.hp.com account to english and then back to Italian, but there was no effect to the register.hp.com page.


USB-C drives droping out while coping files

When I have two USB-c drives connected, I can only use one dirve at a time. One drive will always drop out while copying.

If I disconnect one drive all is fine, I can swap over the drives, connecting to one USB-c socket and again alls fine. Connect both, one drive will fail to copy properly. it stops copying after a few seconds

Tested drives all Ok they both run on other Pc's ok

Upated USB hub drivers from HP support, still the same fault

Hi everyone,

 

ProBook 440 - touch pad works in BIOS but not in windows? No issues with drivers, double tap turns it OFF as expected and amber LED illuminates. Turning it back ON also produces the proper windows sound. Gestures and buttons WORK but single finger just doesn't move the cursor.

 

Windows 10 Enterprise. User to work just fine under Windows 7

 

Any ideas?

Hi,

What Probook 440 do you have, as there are many editions.

When you say the driver is OK. Have you installed the latest drivers available for the device? Have you updated from HP support assistant (drivers and firmware)?

You could also try uninstalling the touchpad from Device Manager and rebooting to let Windows reinstall the basic driver and see if works.

Why is it not possible to submit a supportcase on mycrm.support.hp.com?

Have been trying for a long time and the only thing happening is the page telling me "Your case could not be submitted. Please wait a moment then click the submit button again."

How can i get support on my laptop? (which is in warranty) Is there an email i can use to get support instead?

Hi Community,

I'm suddenly falling into this situation. The laptop was working fine, and suddenly power-down by itself and then prompted with CMOS reset message, and then the below this one. I have unscrewed and removed the CMOS battery and kept away some time as instructed on one of the posts here but the result is the same.

I have also seen that only two options for this one, either get the admin password from HP customer support or replace the bios chip. 

I tried to contact customer support UK via chat (as its late night here in NZ) but unfortunately the chat support system was not available. 

 

I would be thankful If anyone can assist with me with the required password that I should enter at 2nd screenshot screen as I have to complete some work by tonight.
