Hi there, I have just taken delviery of an Elitebook 360x 1030 G3 i7, and have noticed in the 1st few days that the battery power unplugged is awful compared to the product descritpion given by HP, and is no better than my current Surface Pro4...did you ever manage to improve your battery life with any setting changes, and if so typically what battery life are you now getting?

Unfortunately I never solved the issue. While I hear some people touting over 8 hours battery, for me to get as much as 4, I need to have power saving on since 90% and screen brightness as low as 25. At 25% the screen is already pretty dark, and when power saving mode kicks in at 90% as I configured it to do, it gets almost unusable. Price I have to pay to use this away from a power source. Am really very dissapointed.

I cannot charge my HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2 (Product X3U21AV) using the HP Elite Thunderbolt 3 Dock (Product 841830-001)
When attaching the thunderbolt port to the laptop, all attached devices are working fine (mouse, keyboard, display), but I cannot charge my notebook,
I am using a 90W power adapter for the docking station, but the laptop does not charge.
The computer recognises that the unit is attached. Power Mode says "Self Power". Is this the issue?
Please can you help/advise how to resolve this. Thanks
the x2 1012 seems to have issues with USB-C Docking stations since the beginning.
I bought an x2 1012 G2 with a Elite USB-C Dock G4 in April 2018 and it started bugging some months after that.
Sometimes the dock is detected, sometimes it is simply left undiscovered and only works as a charging station.
I contacted support and complained about it but it seems nobody is responsible for it.
How is the experience with the Thunderbolt docks? They use the same port but different connection technology?
Double checked and my Laptop IS the 1040 G3!

On Wednesday March 20th my system suddenly stopped communicating with Bluetooth devices. On Thursday I replaced the internal hard drive and restored the system from backup to the newly installed drive. Today I am running HP Diagnostics on my system, so far it has scored 100%. I wonder what caused the system to suddenly stop detecting Bluetooth devices it was paired with.
I have the hard drive I was using when this happened and I can connect it externally with a USB cable or reinstall it internally, can someone help me diagnosis the cause of the problem?
Why doesn't conform HP Elitebook 1050 g1 and HP Thunderbolt 3 Dock? Do you have some driver for that?

Hello,
in my new HP EliteBoox x360 1040 G5, I received (2-3 times) the message:
"bios has lost communications with hp sure run..."
then I noticed in Task Manager that the HP Sure Run Service (HPSureRun) is continuously trying to start and switches between Starting and Running status.
The System Event Log receives constantly 4 Log Events every 1 second:
"The HP Sure Run Service service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 0 milliseconds: Restart the service."
The HPSureRun Service refuses to Stop:
"Unable to Stop Service."
Then I tried to run the: Hp Sure Run but a 'Missing Shortcut' dialog box appears:
"Windows is searching for HP_SureRun_Notification.exe.
To locate by yourself, click Browse"
I downloaded the HP Sure Run sp88379.exe (product version 1.0.43.1) and tried to Repair and/or Uninstall it without success.
Please suggest a solution urgently!

How do I get repair for a broken hinge on my HP ENVY 17t QUAD? It is out of warranty and I've already contacted HP a few times on the battery needing replacing and found out that you do not even have these batteries for this laptop any more. Which i my opinion is crazy on your part. The first couple of contacts HP referred me to for a battery replacement would not answer phone calls or emails. So after talking to HP for a 4th time, I made sure I got several product ID's that were compatible to the current bad battery and after researching online I've purchased one from Amazon that is the product ID HP referred me to, but the V and mAh are different from what is in the laptop now which is the original. So before I even try this new battery, I need the hinge repaired. This laptop has been babied and never been abused which means the hinge breaking is a manufacturer error. Now back to the original question, "how do I get repair for a broken hinge on my HP ENVY 17t QUAD"?
